Interesting argument about Liberia being an example of Collier’s “Conflict Trap.” In other words, because of the double economic loss that takes place during conflict, Liberia is more at risk of falling into conflict again.

Further research recommendations:

The article suggests that international policing, such as that done by UNIMIL have done some work toward breaking the conflict trap in Liberia
