Abstract
In-depth analysis of the mass abduction of children and adults by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) using data from eight reception centers across northern Uganda, where abductees were registered after escaping or being rescued. The study used both quantitative data aggregation from center databases and qualitative interviews to capture demographic details and experiences of violence. It estimates that between 52,000 and 75,000 individuals were abducted, with a significant number of people still unaccounted for. The report emphasizes the need for improved data collection, reintegration support, and targeted psychosocial services for survivors.
